Professional Interests

Leslie supports students navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, body image concerns, eating disorders, life transitions, and identity development. She has a particular interest in inner child work, complex trauma, and the connection between mental and physical health—especially how stress and trauma can show up in the body, including the gut-brain connection and autoimmune challenges. Her approach is integrative and flexible, drawing from a range of perspectives including mindfulness and self-compassion, internal family systems, narrative therapy, somatic practices, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure work, and solution-focused strategies. Leslie is also curious about how emerging tools—like red light therapy, sound healing, and AI—can support mental wellness and the healing process.

Personal Interests

Leslie is a lifelong collector of books and music, always on the lookout for a good story or a great playlist. She enjoys creative writing, digital art, and indie publishing and is currently working on a novel for tweens while honing her kawaii-style illustration skills. Her interests also include cooking, exercise science, belly dance, meditation, and exploring Tucson’s parks and trails with her kids. Her home is full of life—she shares it with four cats, two geckos, two frogs, one chameleon, an aquarium, and outdoor bobcat visitors.
