Professional Interests

Amy began as a therapist with a cognitive-behavioral focus, then went through extensive Gestalt training to gain expertise in working with unresolved emotions and improving emotional awareness. She has since become interested in trauma recovery and trauma-informed treatment. She loves helping people process and resolve emotionally charged memories and experiences so they no longer create distress and disturbance. She believes that each person is uniquely valuable and deserves the support they need to move through obstacles they face in their lives, whether those obstacles are internal or external.

Personal Interests

Amy loves reading and writing fiction. She loves needlework, sewing, and textiles. She enjoys spending time with her family, art, and the desert. Walking her rescue dogs around sunset is a daily ritual that has kept her grounded for the past several years.
