Treatment Approach
Professional Interests
Grounded in community, culturally sensitive therapy, and trauma-informed care, Izza provides bilingual therapeutic support to students from all backgrounds who are looking for support in their healing process, navigating life transitions, and empowering themselves to succeed. She has expertise and significant experience working with QT-BIPOC, Latinx, Hispanic, Chicanx, immigrant, and first-generation students, yet her approach is flexible and adaptable to extend to a broad range of identities and life experiences. Her therapeutic approach focuses on, but is not limited to, person-centered, self-empowerment, self-compassion, strength-based, values-based, and harm reduction, and she uses modalities such as IFS, CBT, MI, Feminist, ACT, and a little bit of humor.
Personal Interests
Izza is a proud fur mom to two Yorkies, Aizha and Graze, who are her constant companions. She loves traveling back to her border town, El Paso, TX, to catch up with family and friends. When she is not brunching with her amiges or discovering new local spots, you will find her binge-watching crime series, dancing reggaeton, or karaoking to some Selena.
