Native American Student Affairs

"If we carry intergenerational trauma (and we do), then we also carry intergenerational wisdom. It's in our genes and in our DNA"

Hi, I'm Nichol, your Native American Student Affairs (NASA) site-based counselor.

How I Can Help

As an embedded counselor for Native American Student Affairs (NASA), I provide services similar to what you might find at CAPS. These services include an array of mental health services including consultation, short-term counseling, and groups/workshops. Services may vary at different cultural centers as we try to listen and cater to student and center needs.

How You Can Reach Me

  • Call NASA at (520) 621-3835
  • Complete my online form below.

*This form is not monitored 24-7 and should not be used for mental health crises. If this is a mental health emergency, please contact the Pima County Crisis line at 520-622-6000, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are a student or are concerned about a student, you can also call CAPS 24/7 at 520-621-3334. After-hours crisis callers may speak with a Crisis and Access Specialist by pressing 1 when prompted by the automated message.

“Get your education, no one can take that from you.”

My great-grandfather told this to my grandma while she was attending the boarding schools.
